Georgia invites low-budget air companies

Georgian Minister of Economy Vera Kobaliya wants Georgia to become a regional transit center for low-budget air companies, Business Georgia reports.

Kobaliya said that the first low-budget air company will appear on the Georgian market this year. High ticket prices for international flights in Georgia were criticized by the minister. Kobaliya believes the high prices to be unjustified. A flight from Europe to Georgia costs approximately 500-600 EURO, which is very expensive.

The minister believes that the prices should be lowered to between 50 and 100 EURO.
