Turkish Minister for Transportation Binali Yildirim said that the Samsun-Caucasus railway and ferry line will open today, Golos Rossii reports.
It will be a route to connect the inner districts, east, north and west. Northern and southern corridors of Turkey will be connected.
The new route would allow Russia to establish communications with the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East. Turkey will gain access to post-Soviet states, Turkic states and Siberia, the minister stated.
