The fees of 0.3% for cash-outs of 100-manat banknotes, initially set by the Central Bank on February 1, Trend reports.
Banks had to either take fees or pay clients in smaller bills. Banks are negotiating scrapping of the fees or its reduction to 0.05%.
The Central Bank had planned to released banknotes worth 200 and 500 manats. There were also plans to set fees for 50-manat banknotes.
100-manat banknotes had a turnover of about 75% in the country. 90% of banks buy the currency in such banknotes.
