All Russian energy facilities have taken increased security measures against terrorists, Vice-Premier Igor Sechin said at a council devoted to clearing up the consequences of the explosions at the Baksanskaya hydro-electric plant, ITAR-TASS reports.
All North Caucasian energy facilities were ordered to work at full capacity. Sechin said that an investigation was initiated after the explosions at the Baksanskaya hydro-electric plant. Additional demining measures have been taken. Experts say the incident will not affect energy supplies in Kabardino-Balkaria.
At the council the participants noted the importance of paying compensation to the families of the victims of the incident. They decided to send members of an expert group on July 22nd to clear up the damage. The expert group will consist of all the interested ministries, agencies and energy companies.
