Iran to release banknote worth 500,000 rials

Iran plans to release banknotes worth 200,000 and 500,000 rials. The 100,000-rial banknotes is currently the biggest one in the country, Interfax reports.

Iran will have a deficit of 47.7 trillion rials (about $3.8 billion) at Q1 2013 (ending on March 20). The deficit may increase to 171 trillion rials ($13.8 billion) by the end of the year unless the situation improves.
