President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev said that Azerbaijani gas exports to Russia will rise from 1.7 billion cubic meters in 2012 to 3 billion in 2013 due to reconstruction of the Azerbaijani-Russian pipeline, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
Gazprom and SOCAR signed a contract in October 2009. An additional deal was signed to increase gas supplies for Sochi on January 24, 2012, due to reduction of gas exports from Turkmenistan.
