First Kazakh nuclear power plant to be built in Aktau

Valery Shevelyov, managing director of Kazatomprom, national extractor and exporter of uranium, said that Kazakhstan will build the first nuclear power plant in Aktau (Mangistau Province), ITAR-TASS reports.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the government to develop proposals on the construction. An international tender has been announced for the power plant project.
