Lufthansa considers flights to Eastern Kazakhstan via Baku

The German air company Lufthansa is considering the prospect of increased air traffic with the Caspian region, Azerbaijan Business Center reports on Tuesday.

Stefan Versemann, Lufthansa’s representative in Azerbaijan, says that the possibility of organizing flights via Baku to eastern Kazakhstan regions is being studied.

"Thanks to excellent relations with CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the task of delivering passengers to and from Aktau due to a possibility of connections with AZAL flights was solved. The AZAL flight schedule to and back from Aktau is made in such a way that takes into account the possibility of taking on Lufthansa passengers arriving or departing from Baku,” Versemann said.
