Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Sbrebank President German Gref and his deputy Igor Artamonov opened a Sberbank office in Grozny, the Chechen government reports.
Gref noted that he had had talks about mortgage insurances in Chechnya, credits, small business education, investments.
Peter Koltypin, chairman of the board of the North Caucasian Bank Sberbank Rossii, said that the opening means recognition of Chechen economic achievements.
The office is the fifth branch of Sberbank in the republic. The building is located on the Street of Sheikh Ali Mitayev in Grozny. It has over 3700 square meters of space. The population of Chechnya has deposits worth 1.2 billion rubles in the bank. The retail portfolio of the office doubled in 2012 and totals 2.7 billion rubles.
