Prospects of Shah Deniz project seem great - BP

The Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate field Shah Deniz has the potential for a third stage of development, BP regional president Gordon Birrell is quoted as saying by the Trend news agency.

According to Birrell, the company's goal now is to implement the second stage of field development, the final decision on which is expected to be made in late 2013.

According to the plans, the first gas portion within Shah Deniz-2 will be produced in 2018.
