Construction of the Namakhvani Dam in Georgia has been halted to make studies of technical, ecological, cultural and social impact of the project, as stated by Georgy Abramishvili, director of the Kaskad GES .
Kaskad GES Namakhvani started conserving the bridge over River Rioni at Zhoneti in the Tsaltubsky District. Construction of bridges started in mid-2012.
It is worth about 8 million lari. 3.5 million lari of the sum have already been spent.
