The Vinogradskaya-Donskaya Highway built for the Sochi Olympic Games, has been opened ahead of schedule.
Deputy Minister for Transportation Oleg Belozyorov emphasized that the 3.5-km highway had been built 5 months ahead of schedule. Its construction process started in 2009.
Vehicles will move at the speed of 60km/h. Two crosswalks will be built, including one for the handicapped. Over 2km of the road have noise isolation screens. The highway was built according to international standards.
Belozyorov apologized for the inconvenience caused by the construction.
