ITERA, a Russian petroleum company, plans to drill a borehole on the 21st block of the Caspian shelf of Turkmenistan in 203, Trend cites Director General of the company Vladimir Makeyev.
The sea depth at the block is 7-15 meters. The borehole will be 6,000-6,500 meters deep. UITERA expects to find 700 billion cubic meters of gas in the area. 219 million tons of oil and 92 billion cubic meters of associated gas are to be extracted. The field has 100 billion cubic meters of free gas.
