Chechnya plans to grow 31kg of vegetables per person in 2015

 

The Chechen government has approved the program for vegetable farming for 2013-2015 to help realize the republican program for regulation of markets of agriculture products, raw materials and food for 2013-2020. The framework of the program includes measures to increase vegetable fields from 5,000 to 5,400 hectares and farmers by 106, the Chechen government reports.

3 storehouses will be opened for 3,000 tons of vegetables each. Existing ones will be modernized and irrigated.

300.582 million rubles will be provided for the program, including 90 million from the state budget.

Realization of the program will increase vegetable production from 26,900 to 43,900 tons. An average of 31kg per capita will be grown in 2015.
