Chairman of the board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov said that banking will be improved by expanding the regional network of non-bank credit organizations, credit unions and electronic payment systems, development of agricultural and mail banking systems.
Special attention will be paid to mortgage and increase of social mortgage. Rustamov noted that positive changes will be made in 2013 to conclude restructuring and consolidation of bank systems, improve financial management, expand institutions.
The Central Bank needs 50 million manats for safe capitalization. Most banks have gained the sum. Other will have time until January 1, 2014. The country has 43 banks.
