The Russian energy ministry will not give the regional energy system in the North Caucasus to the Korean company KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corp.), despite the attractive conditions, the deputy minister of energy of Russia Mikhail Kurbatov said today.
"We believe that KEPCO is a strong player on the market, one of the interesting transnational companies and we welcome it with its technologies in Russia. But we do not think that it is now reasonable in the North Caucasus," he is quoted as saying by RBC.
