Azerbaijani Vice Premier Abid Sharifov said at the Baku Caspian International Forum that the price for reconstruction of Azerbaijani water system totaled $5 billion, Trend reports.
International financial institutions granted $1.8 billion for the issue. Azersu receives about $1 billion from the state budget annually.
Restoration of water facilities takes place in 38 cities. International financial organizations grant money for such activities in 21 cities. Work has been concluded at 2 cities this year and will be concluded in 10 more. The Takhtakerpu reservoir will be launched this year. $1.4 billion were spent on its construction.
