The Manas Airport in Kyrgyzstan will be transformed from a military facility to a civil hub as soon as US troops leave it in 2014, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said, ITAR-TASS reports.
Russia, US and Germany were offered to take part in the transformation process. Some Russian enterprises have already expressed interest.
The airport is located 20km away from Bishkek. It has been used for US cargo transit to Afghanistan.
