Hermez Gelavend, head of the Iranian Geological Exploration Service of the National Oil Company, said that a new oil and gas field was discovered between Fars, Borazjan and Minab in the Gulf. The field may provide 26 million cubic feet of gas daily.
The official noted that Iran moved from the fourth to the third position of the world’s largest oil extractors after Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. The US is fourth in the list.
