Dagestan Bank "Express" leaders caught stealing 2 billion rubles
In Dagestan, the "Express" Bank, whose license had been withdrawn in January this year, instances of embezzlement of bank owned property was discovered amounting to about 2 billion rubles, the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) reports. According to the agency, managers and employees of the bank were involved in suspicious deals with real estate (houses, apartments, land), as well as vehicles worth about 2 billion rubles. In order to prevent further transactions, DIA plans to send a statement to the police about the verification of theft and seizure of the property stolen from the bank."Express" is known for the anti-record of having fictitious obligations to its depositors worth 7 billion rubles. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case in March this year.
