$25 billion invested in second stage of Shah Deniz project

 

BP President Gordon Birrell said that over $40 billion had been invested in Azerbaijani petroleum projects, including Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Trend reports.

2.2 billion barrels of oil were extracted within the framework of the ACG project.

1.7 billion barrels of oil were transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and 2140 tankers from Port Ceyhan.

About $25 billion have been invested in the second stage of the Shah Deniz project to make Azerbaijan the main gas supplier of Europe.

The highest rate of extraction within the framework of the first stage of Shah Deniz totaled 27 million cubic meters of gas and 55,000 barrels of condensate daily.
