The head of the oil refinery in Bender-Abbas Amin said that the refinery produces 12% of the aviation fuel the country's needs, IranNews reports, citing IRIB news.
Amin said that the fuel produced is used in airports in 11 cities, including Mashhad, Bushehr, Zakhedan, Kerman, Yezda and Chabakhara. Iranian airports need 4 million litres of aviation fuel daily, 450,000 litres are produced in Bender-Abbas.
The refinery is only behind plants in Isfahan, Tehran and Erak in terms of fuel production.
