Compression station of Southern Corridor Pipeline founded in Kuban

The Kazachya compression station of the Southern Corridor Gas Pipeline has been founded at Krasny Oktyabr in the Krymsky District of the Krasnodar Territory, ITAR-TASS reports.

Gazprom Invest Director General Mikhail Levchenkov said that the South Stream Gas Pipeline was launched by President Vladimir Putin, Gazprom and Kuban in Anapa in December 2012. The Southern Corridor project will supply all Black Sea resorts and the Krymsky District with gas, regional Minister for Industry and Energy Vitaly Brijan says.

The new compression station will prepare 63 billion cubic meters of gas for transportation to Europe annually. Gas will be pumped to the Russkaya station and then to the South Stream.
