Georgian exports increase by 40%

Inthe first half of 2010 Georgian exports increased by 40% and reached $720.7 mil, News Georgia reports.


The export of ferrous alloys increased by 17.9% - to $128.8 mil, cars – by 12.1%, reaching $87.4 mil. Export of scrap iron rose by 7.6%, reaching $55 mil.


Processed or half-processed gold was exported for $39.8, which is 5.5% of Georgian export.


Georgian export to Azerbaijan increased by 35% and reached $102.5 mil.


The trade turnover with Azerbaijan in the first half of 2010 reached $298.9 mil. Exports to Turkey reduced by 2.2%, making $117.4 mil. Trade turnover with Turkey in this period reached $496.5 mil.
