New town to be built in Dagestan

The construction of a new town has been launched in the vicinity of the Dagestani capital Makhachkala, the press service of Makhachaka City Hall says in a statement.

The Lazurny Bereg project is a unique initiative in Russia. The entire town will be constructed at the expense of private investors.

The city is expected to become a big industrial, trade and cultural centre.
