Joshgun Heydarov, spokesman of Azersun Holding, one of Azerbaijan’s biggest food companies and manufacturer of over half of the country’s sugar, says that the holding may start exports of sugar to the US, APA reports.
The official said a factory in Imishli had launched production of sugar cubes last year. Sugar is sold to Central Asian states, including Iraq and Kuwait.
Sugar exported to the US will be sold to Azerbaijanis and other Muslim peoples.
