Greek DEPA to find new owner on June 10

The representative of the Greek Privatisation Agency (HRADF), Maria Tsinaridu, reported that the next tender for the privatization of the Greek gas company DEPA has been rescheduled. It will take place on June 10, instead of June 7 as previously planned.

On this day, envelopes will be opened with binding proposals from five investors, submitted to a competition for the privatization of DEPA and the transmissions system operator DESFA. 

As previously reported, the participants in the competition include the Russian companies "Gazprom" and "Negusneft" from the group "Synthesis", two Greek consortiums, and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR.

DEPA Holding is engaged in wholesale and supply of natural gas to large customers. Through its subsidiary DESFA, the holding owns a national network of gas transportation and regasification terminals. In addition, DEPA owns 51% of various companies on the retail sale of natural gas supplies to small and medium-sized businesses and domestic consumers in Greece.
