By the end of August three Russian companies – ‘Gazpromneft’, ‘Rosneft’ and ‘Tatneft’ will have started supplying petrol to Iran, FARS reports, citing the head of the commission for Iran of the Moscow Trade and Industry Chamber and the head of Moscow center for modern studies of Iran, Radjab Safarov.
The negotiations on the issue have already been held. The sides are currently discussing logistics, bank guarantees and prices. Safarov said that Russia had earlier sold petrol to Iran, but this was done by small companies. Russia will now sell petrol to the Islamic Republic via large companies.
