Turkey has built the largest European combined power plant in the Denizli Province, Cihan reports.
The power plant built by the Turkish government and RWE & Turcas for 500 million euro will produce 775MW, fulfilling demands for electricity in two provinces. The power plant will be launched at the end of the year and will produce 2% of the country’s electricity output.
TEIAS said that production of electricity in Q1 2013 dropped by 5.2% to 58.8KW/h, compared with the same quarter in 2012.
Electricity consumption in January-March 2013 dropped by 2.4% to 60.5 billion KW/h, compared with the same period in 2012.
Exports of electricity in Q1 2013 dropped by 84% to 185 million KW/h.
