Azerbaijan is interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Niyazi Safarov, said today at a joint business forum in Baku.
The delegation headed by the akim (head of administration) of the city of Atyrau, Serik Aydarbekovym, arrived in Baku. The delegation includes representatives of companies operating in the spheres of agriculture, food processing, medicine and energy.
"The two countries have established a solid legal basis, up to now nine meetings of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation have taken place. Today, Azerbaijan has about 40 companies with Kazakh capital, and Azerbaijani businessmen work successfully in Kazakhstan," Safarov said.
