The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is the largest investor in Turkey, Trend cites Kenan Yavuz, head of SOCAR Turkey Enerji and member of Petkim, in Baku today.
A contract to build a new refinery in Turkey was signed in May. Its construction will take 4 years. Construction of a new port at the refinery petroleum complex was started and will be completed within 2 years.
Turkey will receive investments worth $17 billion from the SOCAR to realize the project and construction of the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline.
