Nabucco West and Shah Deniz have concluded negotiations about a joint-stock deal, head of Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH Reinhard Mitchek has announced.
He expressed confidence that Nabucco West will be the best route for the Southern Gas Corridor to transport Azerbaijani gas to Europe. The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline will not be used to transport gas to countries of Nabucco West.
Nabucco West will purchase a share in GDF Suez (France).
Nabucco West will be a 1300-kilometer pipeline (412km running through Bulgaria, 469km through Romania, 384km through Hungary, 47km through Austria) running from the Turkish-Bulgarian border to Baumgarten (Austria). It will transport gas extracted in the second stage of the Shah Deniz Field. The final choice of route will be made in June 2013.
