Dagestani acting President Ramazan Abdulatipov presented a complex plan for economic development until 2020 at a session of the Presidential Strategic Council within the framework of the Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2013 yesterday. The official said that the primary goals were to triple economy of the republic by 2020, increase the official sector of economy 5-fold, open at least 200,000 efficient workplaces in the next 5 years and realize socio-cultural transformation, Interfax reports.
Agriculture, industry, development of urban territories, transportation infrastructure, logistics, energy project and the Caspian Shelf were the key fields for accomplishment of the goals.
The Corporations for Development of the Dagestan Republic will become the largest one in Russia. The republic plans to invest up to 5 billion rubles of land and infrastructure assets in the charter capital of the organization.
