The Mufti of Chechnya, Sultan Mirzayev, met with business leaders and organizations interested in certification of their products with the label "Halal".
Mirzayev spoke about the beginning of the Committee's work on the "Halal" standard. The Committee was organized on behalf of Ramzan Kadyrov in 2008. The employees were educated and trained in Kuwait, Malaysia, the CIS countries, and now the committee has qualified specialists headed by Supyan Kurbanov.
Previously, products made in the country, used the logos of other "halal" committees and could not be sold outside the region. At present, enterprises of the Chechen food industry comply with all the requirements of the standard "Halal", so they have the opportunity to sell their products not only in Russia, but also abroad.
The produce of the company "Chechen mineral water Sernovodskoe", awarded the highest international award "Moscow Halal Expo 2013", was presented at the meeting. It is reported that the management company "Grozny City" has won the prize "Halal Company of the Year".
