North Caucasus Resorts and North Caucasus Development Corporation executives discuss investment projects

Director General of North Caucasus Resorts Sergey Vereshchagin met with Director General of North Caucasus Development Corporation Anton Pak. At the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation and joint action mechanisms in the tourism sector of the North Caucasus Federal District, in particular, the development of a pilot project by North Caucasus Resorts – the Arkhyz resort in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, in which North Caucasus Development is also involved, according to the NCR press service.

During the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that the major role in the development of the North Caucasus and the successful implementation of investment projects will be played by a new investment portal investkavkaz.ru, which was launched at the 2013 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The initiative to create an investment portal, which would unite all the necessary information in the most convenient form, was put forward by the government commission on the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal District.

The portal is developed by NCDC with the participation of the Government of Russia, the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and JSC "Forecast”. Using this resource, the business can get all the necessary information on the major ongoing projects in the area, the proposed investment sites, special economic zones, the forms of state investors. A key component of the resource is an interactive map with all current investment objects for each of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.

"Our task is to attract investment and promote the region's economic potential. This portal demonstrates that the North Caucasus is open for cooperation and is ready to implement really ambitious projects. Successful business on clear and transparent rules is possible here," Pak said, according to RIA "Dagestan" .

Vereshchagin said that the portal will be in demand among business structures and the authorities, as well as the population of the North Caucasus regions, and it will be a good platform not only for getting necessary information, but also for the cooperation of all participants in economic processes.

"We have something to offer to investors, and we are ready to join the work of filling the resource and make full use of it for the development of the tourism cluster in the North Caucasus", the head of the NCR said.
