LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov said that oil extraction at the Imilorsky Field may start in 2015 and extraction at the West Qurna-2 Field (Iraq) in 2014, ITAR-TASS reports.
He reminded that the company had successful talks with the Iraqi authorities in 2012 to start the West Qurna-2 development. The inner norm of its income exceeded 15%. The field will produce 60 million tons of oil at the peak of extraction in 2019. Alekperov said that he was expecting synergy effect of Block 10 nearby. Its development started in 2012.
The official added that projects in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, northern part of the Caspian Sea were a success.
Contracts were signed to develop the field named after Filanovsky in 2012.
