Kazakhstan and UK sign contracts worth $1 billion

 

14 contracts and memorandums worth a total of $1 billion were signed during the visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron to Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Ministry for Industry and New Technologies signed two memorandums with SUN Gold to build a mining facility at the Yubileynoye Field in the Aktobe Region.

A deal with Rio Tinto was signed to build the Center for Geological Research in Kazakhstan.

A memorandum for construction of a facility to build drilling machines was signed by Dando Drilling International, Kaznex Inest and Kazgeologia.

Weightless, Kaztelecom, Weightless Contracting, KazTurboRemont and Wood Group signed deals to develop and improve wireless technologies.
