Azerbaijani Ambassador to the US Elin Suleimanov has described advantages of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline as the final route of the Southern Gas Corridor, Trend reports.
The official said that it was a priority project for Europe to grant access to Caspian resources. The Shah Deniz Consortium says that it has big economic value and will provide gas to the EU, Greece and Italy.
Suleimanov said that the US State Department’s praise of the pipeline and support was important for Azerbaijan. He noted that they were cooperating in development of Caspian resources, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor, for 20 years.
