National Welfare Fund of Kazakhstan to restructure its non-core assets

The list of the non-core assets of the National Welfare Fund of Kazakhstan "Samruk-Kazyna", and of its subsidiaries "KazMunaiGas", "Kazatomprom", "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" and "Samruk-Energo" that are to be restructured has been released. Currently, the plans for restructuring of the non-core assets and facilities approved by the boards of directors of these companies are being implemented.

Among the assets to be restructured are the non-core companies, educational and health centers, buildings and business entities belonging to companies "KazMunaiGas", "Kazatomprom", "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" and "Samruk-Energo", Trend reports.

The bulk of the non-core assets and facilities of subsidiaries will be dealt with through liquidation, sale or merger during 2013. In general, the plan is designed until the end of 2015.

The restructuring plans of the non-core assets and facilities of subsidiaries of "Samruk-Kazyna" were considered by the Board of Directors on April 24, 2013.
