Patents for labour migrants give Stavropol Territory 30 million rubles

The Stavropol Territory received about 30 million rubles of income from patents for labour migrants, the local directorate of the Russian Federal Migration Service reports.

The patent system was adopted on July 1, 2010. Foreign labours need the documents in order to be hired by individuals. Adoption of new rules boosted the number of people willing to receive the patents in 2011-2013. Over 9,000 patents were granted in 2012 and 7,000 in the first half of 2013.
