TAzerbaijani Minister for Finances Samir Sharifov said today that depositors of the USSR Sberbank received $761.1 million, 7% of which were paid in January-June 2013, News Azerbaijan reports.
Each depositor received $190 per thousand rubles, compared with a maximum of $150 in other post-Soviet states.
The payments are made according to President Ilham Aliyev’s order signed in March 2012. The process started on June 1, 2012, and will continue until late 2013.
