On August 30, the Dagestani Directorate of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service will consider three cases against Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk for shortages of gas for Makhachkala housing and utilities services, ITAR-TASS reports.
Dagestanenergo, Makhachkalateploenergo and Makhachkalateploservis complained that Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk had monopolic rights for gas distribution and reduced gas supplies due to debts the companies owe.
Gas supply for Dagestani thermal power plants of Dagestanenergo was halved on July 30. It owes the company 146.6 million rubles. Gazprom Mezhregiongaz threatened to shut down all gas supplies on August 7. The three companies owe it 747.3 million rubles.
The deadline of August 7 was shifted to August 21. Additional agreements will be considered on condition that all debts will be paid before August 16.
