New Sochi sea port to dock 300-meter vessels

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and Krasnodar Territory Governor Alexander Tkachev today inspected the construction of the new Sochi sea port, which is scheduled to be operational by the end of the year. The port is being built in the framework of the Olympic program.

"To create berths with a total length of over 1,500 m, as well as the Naval Station, border services and infrastructure at sea, an area of 8 hectares was designated. The span of construction works was appreciated today by the senior officials. Dmitry Kozak and Alexander Tkachev noted the high rate of construction of the new Sochi sea port," YUGA.RU quotes the press service of the port. 

After the opening of the new port, for the first time in its history Sochi will be able to dock ships of 300 meters in length almost all year round. It will be possible to moor two ships and a ferry at the same time. A modern center for cruise shipping with a new port station and a crossing will also open.
