The Russian Energy Ministry has obliged petroleum companies to increase reserves of gasoline from 1.25 million tons to 1.7 million tons by September 1, Izvestia reports.
Petroleum companies will also provide over 200,000 tons of fuel to compensate their failure to fulfill the obligations of July in August. The measures are expected to prevent rising petroleum prices.
