By order of the Acting Head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, 843 families will be relocated away from the landslide zone in the Malgobek district to new apartments by the end of October this year.
On Monday Yunus-Bek Yevkurov held a meeting on the construction of apartment buildings for residents of the landslide area, Interfax-South reports.
At the meeting, the head of the Directorate of the Federal Target Program "Social and economic development of Ingushetia for 2010-2016", Bashir Toldiev, said that since the beginning of the construction works, contractors have already spent 2.5 billion rubles.
According to him, currently the roofing is being completed, and the infrastructure is 90% complete.
The new neighborhood of 32 high-rise buildings is being built on an area of 110 hectares in Malgobek. Another 700 apartments for resettlement from the landslide zone will be built here in 2014.
The cost of the work in terms of the engineering infrastructure is 3.327 billion rubles.
