US grants Syrian opposition $15 million

The US has granted Syrian opposition $15 million for management of occupied territories, restoration of infrastructure, water, food and other supplies, ITAR-TASS reports.

The finances were granted through an international fund of co-founded by such states as Germany and the United Arab Emirates. It has exceeded $130 million. The sum will be spent on civil projects and humanitarian initiatives.

The international fund has been operating under the auspices of the UN since late 2012.
