Georgia’s United National Movement fears mass poverty

Georgy Vashadze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement of Georgia, said that, according to Standard & Poor’s, the economic growth will total 3.5%, instead of 6%, unless the government takes action, News Georgia reports.

Vashadze clarified that 3.5% would mean poverty.

Candidate for president David Bakradze requested a meeting with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili on August 1 to discuss the problem. He is expected to meet Georgian Minister for Economy and Sustainable Development Georgy Kvirikashvili.
