Iran accuses India and Pakistan of exporting rice with arsenic

Ali Akbarian, deputy head of the Iranian Association of Rice Growers, has accused India and Pakistan of exporting rice with arsenic and irregular deliveries, Trend reports.

Hasan Tamini, a member of the Iranian parliamentary commission for healthcare, accused the states of importing rice with arsenic in June. The Ministries for Healthcare and Agriculture were warned about the problem, but took no measures.

Masumeh Ebtekar, head of the ecological commission of the Tehran City Council, made similar accusations.
