According to an analyst from the Troyka Dialogue investment company Valery Nesterov, Transneft will not be harmed by the recent decision made by Rosneft and the State Oil Comapny of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to deliver oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline instead of the Baku-Novorossiyesk pipeline.
The company will be able to increase the tariffs and intensify deliveries, the expert says.
"If the company is not harmed, why should it protest against such a decision?" he asks.
