Over 2,000 industrial enterprises will undergo energy audits by July 2015 within the framework of the Energy Saving Program-2020 passed by the Kazakh government today, Trend cites Vice Minister for Industry and New Technologies Nurlan Sauranbayev.
30 enterprises are undergoing energy audit, 50 implementing energy management system, 200 will invest about 300 billion tenge in energy saving by 2015.
Over 1.182 trillion tenge will be needed for realization of the program. 1.177 trillion tenge of the sum will be granted by private investors. 5 universities and 11 education centers will train new specialists for the program. The program provides grants and technological business incubation. Success of the program would reduce energy consumption every year by reducing the energy consumption capacity of the GDP by 10%.
